Does battery consumption depend on your lens?

Hi Friends, I recently purchased a Canon 70-200 f/2.8 IS lens ( http://www.adorama.com/CA70200ISU.html ). Before this, I had a smaller sigma 18-200 lens f/3.5-6.3 OS ( http://www.sigmaphoto.com/lenses/lenses_all_details.asp?id=3324&navigator=6 ) . My question is, will my battery drain out much faster now, because the lens is almost 2.5 times larger in size. Thanks in advance.
 
The only thing that matters on your lens is the "IS." This drains battery power. I see you said that the Sigma is an "OS" model, so I'd guess that it's not going to be much different.
