I wrote this poem one night a few months ago when I was feeling depressed for some reason. I can't exactly remember why I was depressed, but I wrote this sort of suicidal poem at the time. I think I was just really lonely that night. I was wondering what other people might think of it. Here it is:
"I think today's the day
The finale is very near
Gather round for the after-party
But by then I won't be here
It's such a pretty day
Everything's in its place
The sky a grimful gray
The sun hiding its face
I'm standing in a nice big crowd
The best place to not be seen
Most say hiding there does not work out
But they don't seem to get what I mean
The moon, the stars, they cry tonight.
I wonder if they cry for me.
The world, my my, it isn't right
Why's it me people cannot see."
