Does anyone understand what "imputed income" is in regards to health care reform?

what they are looking at is taxing what your employer pays not what you pay. that is called imputed income.
you probably pay no more than 30% of the actual premium. you would pay the tax's on the other 70% without making a dime more in income.

look into it people!
wow, not a lot of response's
guess i didnt use a proper inflamatory word in the question!
it's only the biggest issue on the table, but i guess we shouldnt worry about it!

If your employer has to pay taxes on that income that you aren't spending on health insurance then hes not going to be offering it, or hes going to not give out raises. Surely you don't think the company will eat it?
We are the only country that relies on employer health care as a benefit.
Its an expensive system now, but if the company doesn't pay taxes and the beneficiary doesn't pay taxes then who makes up the lost revenue...I do, I pay for my own policy and I pay with after tax dollars.
Then I have to make up the lost revenue with more taxes because neither the company your work for, nor you are paying your fair share.
All those people complaining about people on the public teat don't seem to realize they have been at the wallow with the rest of the pigs.

Yes I know exactly what it means. In short it means you get to pay more in Taxes,to subsidize the handouts to the loafers and losers,AS USUAL!!

Fucking Lying Asshole is what he is,so much for them not raising "working Americans" taxes.

Nope ... today, the average premiums are $12,000 per family in the US. It's $1,000 a month.

Well, today, if it works as it does in France and the UK, a bit less than $1,000 will be taken out of your monthly pay check to go to healthcare ... covering you all the way in case something happens ... you'd end up paying less, even tho your statements would show more tax

Money spent is money spent ... the way it's taken doesn't really matter

This administration is doing more to destroy the economy in the name of "fairness" and "justice" than most people would have imagined...

Equal Poverty and Equal Misery for all!

And the Obamabots are just nodding their heads excitedly and exclaiming what a great job he is doing.
