I watched a show last night called beasts of the bible and a historian said that if you where on the sea on a clear night it was said "that your in the belly of the great fish" based on one of the biggest contilations in the night sky called "the great fish" suggesting originally that he was consumed by the darkness of his sin and through god he was released from darkness.Im not a christian, but an athiest, but im sure everyone can agree this makes more sense.
