Does anyone remember this film on Channel 4?

Heeey everyone. Does anyone remember a Portuguese film (shown with subtitles) that was on on Channel 4 around 2 years ago? It was about a guy who fell in love with a girl from a travelling circus. There was a rival family out to kill him and in the end his little brother pretended to be him and sacrificed himself It was REALLY sad but REALLY good, and I'd love to be able to watch it again so please help
