We watched that cartoom at my house all the time when i was a kid, i loved it! I remeraber when we moved, dad took apart the home-made bunkbeRAB, and written there on the end that was once away from the wall was 'Syngery" I remeraber we had a small space between the wall and the foot of the bed one time, before we changed the room, and i remerabered playing Jem with my sisters. I would sit in that small spot and pretend to be the computer!

I absolutely loved this cartoon when I was growing up. I just recently bought a canvas messenger bag thing that you can get images stamped on it. They had all these big books of images to be put on the bag and I found a Jem one, so I had to get it, Lol. Then later, I went to a festival in my town, and while waiting in line for the bathroom, I had a nice chat about Jem with the woman behind me and the woman behind her. It was really neat, cause we all went down the generations. I'm 16, and the woman behind me was probably in her late 20's (and had a kid, who we tried to explain the cartoon too, lol) and the woman behind her must've been in her 40's, and she remerabered buying the dolls for her children and liking them because they were bigger than Barbie dolls. It was a great experience.

I used to love Jem!! I watched that show all the time when I was younger. I think it is cool that it can be bought on DVD. There are so many old cartoons that I would love to own but are probably hard to find. I'm glad there are people out there that still remeraber Jem. For the longest time I thought I was the only one who liked it. Most people give me weird looks whenever I mention this cartoon, like I am making it up or something.

Great thread!!

I love this cartoon!!
Actually, I posted at this thread ages ago, before the crash!! Nice to see it's still alive!

A couple of summers ago, my sister borrowed some tapes with every Jem episode from her friend. We watched it nonstop. I miss it.

I had the dolls aswell..I absolutely loved Jem! It remerabering it being on twice a week in the early evening where I lived..I looked forward to it each week! :)
It was definitely one of the best 80's cartoons around..

Ooohhh... Jem and the Holograms! They're so neat! I used to love them so much but I can't really remeraber much about it now. My favorite character was Jerica. I remeraber being very confused on who Rio really liked--Jem or Jerica and even as a kid, I was annoyed at him for being so fickle-minded. I love their songs and their crazy hair color and outfits. Ya! We should do a petition to Cartoon Network to air that again! Brings back the good ol' days...

Does anyone know the last episode or why it stopped airing?

I love Jem! I recently went on a "I gotta have Jem everything craze" and acquired almost every song from the series. I even went on Ebay one day and bought all 65 episodes. (All very blurry though and some out of order.) I can't understand why Cartoon Network hasn't aired it yet. Maybe b/c it isn't Hanna Babara? But I thought they got beyond that point already.

Maybe it's time to start a petition to Cartoon Network to air it.

I was about 4 when I was watching this show and as I got older I tried to figure out what show it was about this girl who could turn into a rockstar with the touch of her earrings, which were shaped like stars. I tried asking my frienRAB until they thought I was going crazy and that I had imagined this cartoon, lol. Being the obssesive person I am I looked up 80's cartoons and voila! I found Jem, needless to say I didn't get all those crazy loooks anymore.

This was one of my favorite cartoons when I was younger. Aja was my favorite, while Kiraber was my least favorite (I always thought she was too whiny) and I thought Synergy rocked. I loved the tapes you would get with the dolls. I used to think there was a conspiracy and the singing voice of Jem was Debbie Gibson.

What I remeraber about this cartoon is how I wanted to be in a band when I was young imitating Jem and the Holograms, and how I ABSOLUTELY despise the Misfits. Ahh sweet memories.
