I have always seen those ads saying that you can make a fortune with an eBay business, however I truly believe that the only ones who are making a fortune are those who are selling information on making a fortune. However, I believe that I can make (after a while) a couple of hundred dollars per month. I intend to start small, selling a few items at a time, and eventually building up the business. I want to know, preferably from current eBay sellers, what it's like to sell on eBay as a business. 1.How do you get your merchandise? 2.How much do you profit? 3.What administrative issues do you have? 4.What are your additional operating costs do you have? 5.what additional advise can you give me? I am interested in all and any information you can give.

Hi:)
I was in your very shoes, when i turned 18 back last year. I was so excited to start selling on ebay to start making extra money while attending college full time. Well it was horrible, there are these restrictions that are placed on new buyers, so that you can only list a certain amount of things every 30days. I don't know if this is true in other categories, but I list in authentic designer bags. In the end I ended up wasting more money in listing fees than it was worth. I swtiched to bonanzle to list and sell, because you can list all of the things you want for free. Afterwards I switched to malleries to sell my designer bags. I get my merchandise locally through craigslist, ebay, and other online sites. The i turn around a resell. Its a lot of work and you have to know your stuff. But last week I made about 980 and this week I made about 300. If you have a passion for designer things, there is a HUGE MARKET for it. Good Luck!
