30 miles of one? I never knew there was one in the next county till last week when I got lost on the interstate and saw the stacks of one.Am I and my mom is danger from radiation escaping? And please no jokes people I'm being serious about this?I never knew I lived that close and I'm scared.you should know I've watched Silk wood, The Day After Tomorrow and The China Syndrome.

The odds are against your having any trouble. How many Chernobyls are there in the world? Even the Three Mile Island incident was more of an inconvenience than a danger.

Can you imagine a movie being made about the normal operations of a nuclear power plant? That would kill people from boredom.

The worst problems come from shut-downs during the winter. The discharge of the heated cooling water keeps fishes around when they normally would have moved to warmer waters. The sudden cut-off of the warmth can kill the fish.

75% of Europe's electricity is generated by nukes...Ya don't see them passing out or dying...Only the regressive environmentalists are keeping us from being energy independent.

you watch too much TV...CSI Law and order....people with machine guns on every street blasting away..TV crap......Every year 35/45 K people die from car wrecks....your more likely to run off the road looking at the nuke plant rather than be hurt by it..
