Does anyone like janes Addiction

Ocean Size.
Standing In The Shower...Thinking.
Idiots Rule.
Mountain Song.
Stop.

All great songs that are great and not overplayed.

These songs are overplayed, but you'll probally like them too:
Been Caught Stealing and Jane Says.

No, I fully disagree!Dave was great in R.H.C.P., but that is only because R.H.C.P.'s the better band.Dave was perfect in/for Jane though...
...there's no denying that.

Too bad Perry Farell is such a crackhead twat, Nothing's Shocking was Genius but everything else is just average. Porno For Pyro's was just crap

yeah, but i seem to recall the list of banRAB you saw in the late 80s / early 90s as being pretty freaking impressive hehehe. i was a very sheltered teen out on the far end of nowhere on the wrong coast of canada back in those days hehe.

as for the misguided dislike, i didn't actually read through this thread until just now. WOW :banghead:

really though. :banghead:

as far as navarro and the chili peppers go. it was one of those situations that looked really good on paper but failed in practice. 'one hot minute' isn't a horrible album, but it's not really that good either.

Absolutely. Porpoise Head is a beautiful song. I'm more partial to P4P then GGU though. You ever get into Deconstruction? The Eric Avery/ Navarro album? That album is on par with NS.

I used to at one point hate Jane's Addiction. Somehow a car ride to Sacramento got me into them. I guess I can kind of see what some of the haters thought about them.

Anyways, as for Jane's live experiences, I saw Perry Farrell's Satellite Party  live. They were fun, but I imagine it doesn't touch Jane's/P4P in the heyday.

Well, honestly for the most part their newest music kinda sucks, but that still shouldn't take away the fact that their first few recorRAB were fu(kin' great.

i heard a couple of tracks from deconstruction a long time ago but i don't really remeraber any of it.

perkins has a solo project called banyan for a while that had decent stuff too. nothing really on par with jane's though, a lot more mellow.

Jane's Addiction rocks.
I have all their albums except for Strays....But i'm not sure I want it because people tell me it was terriable compared tot heir previous releases.

You think i dont.I can never find anything thats good to talk about so i make my own stuff but some isnt good enough for some people and they have to lock the thread.

If you're into buying individual songs, I'd reccomend Strays, Price I Pay, and The Riches.

But the production is ****ty. Bob Ezrin pushed the band to a more radio friendly sound and the production sounRAB more like pop rock than old school Jane's.
