Does anyone know why I am able to bicycle with no pain even though it hurts

to run or walk fast? While playing racquetball I heard a "pop" and felt a sudden severe pain in my left calf. I had to stop playing and could barely walk. It felt slightly better the next day, although I walked with a limp and could not roll up onto my toes like a normal stride. It started to feel significantly better after about two or three days and now, six days later I can almost walk normal. I can’t run and don’t expect to be able to play racquetball for a while, but walking seems to be ok. My question is…

Does anyone know why I am able to bicycle with no pain whatsoever even though it hurts severely to run or even to walk fast? And, is it harmful to cycle with this injury even though I feel no pain?

Also, if someone has some insight into what my specific injury might be, how long would it normally take to heal, and can you recommend a plan for easing back into racquetball and basketball without reinjuring it?
