You are up against a lot of others, some of whom are only looking for a parts car for the Spec Miata that they are racing. One that is running, all there and has a title is worth at least 2 grand. One worth owning is going to be at least 3 grand.
Every once and a while one that need work comes up on e-bay in that price range, more often then not it has had a serious accident or motor failure (if the motor is even there).
So while I can see your desire to own one, please realize that the prices are about as low at 3 grand as you will ever see them. No one that I know of is selling for less then 2.5 grand if then. The price has been going up for several years now even on the 90's. I don't think a newer one will ever sell for less then a 90.
