...the back of the car? we are going on holiday soon and would love to take the kids bikes with us but the only way they would fit is using these things. i was going to look on ebay but obviously need to know what they are called first.
 
bicycle rack , there are a few types shop around for the most practical for you , the rear tailgate ones do their job but are in the way especially if you take the kitchen sink as most families do , look at putting a tow bar on and have a tow bar type bicycle rack , or a roof mounted one .
