In English class (high school) we read a story about two girls who went to the mall one day and found a strange new vending machine had been erected. The machine sold little 'ice creams' in strange flavours (I THINK it was ice cream shaped things, can't really remember).
Anyway, everyone kept getting fatter and fatter from all the vending machine's strange new sweets - I think also, whenever you purchased from the machine, it would STAMP your wrist with a little blue dot, that never went away. Eventually when your wrist was encircled in the dots, the Aliens who had set up the vending machine, would take you away.
SOMETHING like that.
Does this sound familiar to ANYONE at all??
I'd really love to find out who wrote it and read it again!
