I keep trying to figure out what movie it is that I saw when I was little. From what I can remember there was a monster and he had a human friend. They go down into the monster world and all the other monsters are there too. And then that's all I remember until like the ending [which I think was the ending of the movie] where the boy has to decide to either become a monster like his friend or else something happens if he says no, like his monster friend dies or something... I can't quite remember.
