Does anyone know the MPG for a Suzuki Vitara 2.0?

It's not the Grand Vitara. I really need to change my car and a friend is keen that I buy his Vitara off him. He says he gets 45 or 50 MPG but this seems a little high to me. (Its quite old and I can't afford a newer one). I need a vehicle large enough for a growing family but also need to be able to afford the fuel as I do quite a few miles each week.
 
wow 50mpg i didnt know suzuki made hybrds but any way thats a load of crap

i have a 1.6L suzuki sidekick and it gets good mpg but no where near 50 mpgs so a bigger engine getting more just doesnt see right to me

go out and look online for cars with the best mpg that you can find in your price range then start looking for those in your area for sale

If you do the miles.... you need a diesel

loads of bargains to be had

dont be pressurised by a friend whom want to off load his jap junk onto you
