does anyone know the history of ichigos father of the anime bleach?

Not much is known about Ichigo's father. But it is implied that he was once a shinigami and a captain as well. I'd guess that he was the Captain of Division 10, based on the Turn Back the Pendulum Arc. Because all the captains from 110 years ago were accounted for except Div 10. I can't remember what exactly they said happened to the Captain though

it's most likely that somehow Isshin lost his powers because when he fought Grand Fisher, Uruhara said something like "Oh I see you got your powers back"
 
We don't know a lot about Ichigo's father, Isshin since we havn't been given a backstory about him. But we know that he was a Captain from the captain robe he wore around his arm. All we know is that he lost his shinigami powers when he came to the human world and married Ichigo's mother. But he recently regained his powers again, shown when he killed Grand Fisher. Hopefully Tite Kubo will give us a backstory about him, because I know alot of people are curious of what his past is.
 
he was a captian you could tell that from his clothes..from the anime there is no history maybe the manga gives some details..
