Does anyone know the answer to this fish riddle?

Ska man

Two men go fishing.

On the way back, one man says to the other, "give me one of your fish, so I have twice as many as you."

The other man says, "No, give me one of your fish, so we both have the same amount."

How many fish do the men have?

I'm totally stumped on this.

1st guy has 7, second guy has 5.
1st guy gets one of 2nd guy's fish, he has 8 second guy has 4
2nd guy gets one of 1st guy's fish, they both have 6

phew, took awhile, but I figured out that that the first man has 5 fish originally, and the second man has 7 fish.

let's call the first man bob, and the second man joe, for the ease of explanation.

if bob gives a fish to joe, then bob will have 4 and joe will have 8 (twice as many as bob).
however, if joe gives a fish to bob, then they will both have 6!

I hope that clarified things for you!
