I'm making a cake with flames up the sides and the easiest way to make the flames I've decided is spraying them on. I need a homemade spray paint recipe that will stick to frosting without running all over the place.

Homemade Edible Body Paint #1

Step 1, Create a Gel Mix:

1/4 cup hot water
1 Packet Unflavored Gelatin (Dissolved)
In small saucepan blend and cook over low heat:

1/2 cup cornstarch
1 1/2 c. cold water
Carefully add :

gel mix
1/4 cup glycerin.
2-3 drops flavoring of your choice.
Divide into small bowls (the ziploc mini disposables work great!) Add 1 or 2 drops food coloring per "Bowl" to get various colors

*Note * This will stain, but to remove stains from body we've found that baking soda works quite well.

Homemade Edible Body Paint #2

Melt the following over low heat:

3 tbs. beeswax
3 tbs. coconut oil
3 tbs. cocoa butter
Remove from heat & Add:

1 tbs. honey powder (optional)
1/2 tsp. Any flavoring extract (Watkins has tons of great flavors)
food coloring to suit
