I like books that are usually romantic or depressing. I like books that have family in it. I want to read a book that has someone in it with an eating disorder or somthing. I tend to like books that are written in first person. And books that teach you a lesson. A couple books i have read and liked are "My sisters Keeper" "five people you meet in heaven" "Twilight" and "Just Listen"

Well, you could read:Rule Of The Bone,Catcher In The Rye,The Things They Carried, and The Joy Luck Club. There are many others, but I just can't think of them. There is a book that is called Hawksong, and it is a series.

You might check out Alice Sebold's books - The Lovely Bones (written from the POV of a 14 year old murder victim) and Lucky, the author's memoir about her rape the last day of her freshman year of college. Both are tough subjects.

If you ever want sad, Lurlene McDaniel's books are usually about young people who are facing a terminal illness or some major life changes and how they deal with it.

The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett has romance, family, is depressing in parts, teaches you some lessons. It's really long, but I've read it once a year for the last ten years or so. No eating disorders though.

Ummmm......Go Ask Alice is about like a girl that does drugs and whatnot.
Hole in My Life is about this guy that goes to jail, kinda depressing.

Someone above me mentioned Go Ask Alice-- I second that. It is defintely depressing, and the main character struggles with drug addiction. Plus it's a diary-- the ultimate first person.

Ties that bind, ties that break is the best book evur!!!! PS its by lendsy namioka
