I've seen where old hippie's have started their own country on an old oil rig on an old episode of "That's Incredible". And, lately I've seen where an artist couple bought and moved into an old missle silo. I didn't pay to much attention at the time, but would like to know more know.
 
you would first need credentials of some kind to prove you wouldn't mess up the structure that would dangerously affect society, and millions of dollars as just the cost of the huge amount of land that those are built on are high.
