Does anyone know if tmobile charges extra for texting somebody in diff state?

I know the do alot of stupid things and im scared to because when i was little i talked to my cousin for lives in utah like me and she has an 801 area code and i lived in southern utah at the time with a 435 and i sky rocketed my bill for talking to her on the phone. I just wanna make sure i don't get charged before i text my friend who lives in oregon
