Does anyone know if it's possible to install the boost mobile OS on a nextel phone?

I have a nextel motorola i9 that is running on boost mobile. Now the nextel OS on this phone is very cryptic compared to the boost mobile OS on the same phone. I was wondering if there was a way that the nextel OS could be flashed and boost installed.
