I have removed all the lights and brake lights and everything and am going to re do the bike so it is straight dirtbike, in todays dirtbikes there is no batteries to run the bike. Obviously i can kick start the bike but since i cut all the wires and removed them i get no spark to the spark plug i have already check.

Sounds like you nearly OD on dumb pills.

Better find somebody to help you rewire the ignition. It was never designed to run without a battery and you sure aren't going to make it do so.

If I recall correctly, the XL does not use a flywheel magneto like most current bikes, it uses points and a coil. The battery is a necessary pert of the system. You may be able to substitute an electrolytic capacitor for the battery; I'm not sure about that.

same thing with my 1987 yz 125

the only thing to start it with bad/no electrics is to push start it

put her in 2nd and hold the clutch, run with it, once going like 10 mph let go of the clutch and give it gas until it turns over, then either hop on and ride or grab the clutch and let it warm up ( 2 strokes)
