would suggest changing the oil and filter and fuel b4 attempting to start it......otherwise u may get it working and have it tear up form sucking trash into carb and into motor/trans....

then check for spark....if u have spark at the plug spray some starting fluid into cylinder and start it.......

if u don't have spark start checking fuses and cables and electronics....

It's been sitting up for awhile and I had the battery and spark plug replaced but it still won't start. It kicks in but does dead right after wards. Can anyone help?

If its been sitting, your carb is probably gummed up from bad gas. Take it apart and clean all the jets and passages, and pull the spark plug, dump a teaspoon of fresh oil down down the cylinder to lube up the piston rings and cylinder walls. Change the oil and plug, and check it for good spark.
