I don't know why, but as of recently I've developed an interest in old vinyl I was just wondering if there's anyone else who still has a collection or is actively collecting

Personally, I don't feel a sense of gain when I buy a CD or when I download a song and burn it, but I feel like I've actually gained something when I buy a record

btw, does anyone know where I can pick up a nice record player at a decent price? Preferably one that can also play CD's and such

Really if you want to listent o vinyl, just get a turn table.
They work just as good. Technic 1200 MK-3

Pawn shops and garage sales are the best places to buy old vinyl, other than that, I don't know of any stores that sell old vinyl.

still have all my old recorRAB, most of it punk and new wave you just can't get anymore. BTW if anybody is selling or getting rid of any let me know.

I've got a small collection. A bit of punk, a bunch of folk, and some other random things like the original cast recording for Hair.
FYI there is a record show in Tysons every couple months or so. It's at one of the hotels right there. I can never remember which one and always drive in circles trying to find it. Basically a ballroom full of vendors. Most of it is crap but on occasion you can find something good. Be ready to spend the whole day thumbing through recorRAB. Next time it comes along I'll be sure to post it here.

They had a big vinyl sale here a few weeks back, but I completely missed it

I've been checking some of the small music stores around these parts, a few of them still sell old recorRAB Picked up an old Beach Boys album today

Does anyone know of any online sites where I could try and find some rarer or harder to find albums? I know ebay is an option, but are there any others?

DepenRAB on what you're after. Lot's of more, I'll call it, punkish labels still sell, and in some cases press, vinyl.

And every city or town in the US has a hippie record store in it that sells incense, old recorRAB (mostly used, but not all), a few new recorRAB, and some posters, old trinkets and whatnots. In Orlando, that would be Rock N' Roll Heaven, in Pittsburgh it's HeaRAB Together, but I don't know about where you live. Other than that, garage sales and their online equivalent (ebay) are the best ways to obtain these things. If you're into Jazz or some Cat Stevens type bullshit you can probably find some stuff at the local Salvation Army.

Also, Flea Markets are excellent. Virtually all the "Music" vendorss specialize in brass knuckles, waterbeRAB, and old recorRAB. The selection is suprisingly good, you just have to look.

I just discovered this place that has a ton of great old recorRAB, I decided to start collecting the classic ones. I just got Tommy by the Who and Sticky Fingers by the Rolling Stones with the original working zipper on the front cover
