Does anyone here buy a book based on the appeal of the cover?

I usually do this because it makes the book more inviting. I'm also guilty of flipping through the book to see if the style of writing suits my taste. Anyone else do this?

More than once.

I was sorting through some books the other month and I realized that I had more than a dozen I'd bought based on the cover art alone. Horrible books that I'd trade off in a moment, but I really like the artist. Curse you Thomas Canty!

Of course the good side is that without his cover art, I would have never read Swordspoint, which was an exceptional novel.
