i just started doing crew and i have a 5k erg test in a few days. i am really determined to do well so i have a few questions..
- i have really good technique. i keep my back straight the entire time, even at the end. but the girls with really bad form and technique still get extremely good scores and get put with all the good people. why? should i not even focus on technique?
- people on yahoo answers say to start out by pacing yourself. but can't i just go slow the entire time and then use a ton of power during the last 500 meters?
- does going faster make my time lower?
- can i go super slow during the recovery (going back to the catch)? does that affect my time?
