Does anyone have any additional details about the sequel to the film The Bicycle Thief?

A planned sequel to the post-war neo-realist Italian classic, The Bicycle Thief. From what little I have heard. The sequel picks up after the father and son, find the bicycle, albeit in bad shape. The working title is The Bicycle Pump.
