I remeraber this happening to me last February and I was in the middle of a pretty bad panic attack and my heart rate was staying at 60 bpm and just thumping. I could feel it in my neck and everything, but it didn't ever get super fast like it usually would. I would notice that this would happen periodically through out the day where it would feel like it was beating really slowly since my normal resting heart rate is somewhere in the 70's. I went to the Dr. and they said that isn't a typical response to anxiety/stress, but that it's different for everyone and since my EKG's, Holter's and Echo's came back fine, that I shouldn't worry. Now it's happening again. I've been a little more stressed than usual and the other day I ran up the stairs and my heart felt like it was just going THUD, THUD, THUD pretty slow instead of going faster like you would think that it would. Does this ever happen to anyone and do you think it's something I should be concerned with or can it be anxiety related?
