Does anyone ever get tired of Hollywood trying to educate them?

Or of the sickening didactic approach to some of their movies? Their job is to entertain us, not teach us. That's the problem with the American public today. If I wanted to be educated on a certain topic, I would read a book, and make sure my source is credible, or at least taken from several sides of an argument, and not just one. The very fact that they keep trying to "teach" us instead of entertain us is making me question their motive. It's bad enough they have half of us conditioned due to their "directing" in movies.
 
I am of the thought that we need to educate Hollywood. I rarely watch tv or movies anylonger.
