Does anyone else's baby flare it's arms around and whine as they are falling asleep?

My baby is 4 months old and she just started doing this. I know she's tired and it's like she's fighting it, but she flares her arms around and kicks and whines. I also can see her eyes roll back in her head and she wiggles almost violently, then she's out cold, asleep that is. Only does it at bedtime. And she usually sleeps for 7 to 8 hours then. Anyone else's baby do this? Is it normal? Is she just fighting going to sleep, but is very tired?

She isn't having seizures - just to reassure you.
My 11 month old son has always done this - his arms are so busy at bed time, he wines and then falls asleep. Yes, I can see his eyes roll back in his head sometimes but everyone's eyes do this when they are asleep - thing is as adults we close our eyes at sleep time so you can't see this. Sometimes our childrens eyelids are open just a bit and you can see this happening.
Don't worry - it sounds normal to me but mention it next time to you doctor just to reassure yourself.
By the way - you are lucky she is sleeping so long. My 11 month old son wakes up through the night constantly.
Keep up the good work.

Kaitlyn does! She will throw both arms straight up in the air. and she always make a little wine as she is falling asleep. She sounds like she is purring lo. She also does the same the with her eyes, it's creepy seeing her eyes roll back into her head. Kaitlyn fights sleep all the time and that is what she does.
