Does anyone else work in a shop and hate bitchy customers? Do you argue back with them?

Haha I work in Tesco whilst at uni. I am on the customer service desk. When I get nice customers (and even a complaint can be made without speaking to us like poo you know) I will go out of my way to help them, even if it is a complaint. I really like helping customers who treat me politely.

But god when I get someone who speaks to me like crap I will just ignore them virtually and do the very least I can to help them. In fact there have been times where I knew they were in the right but because of the way they have spoken to me or my colleague I have told them they are wrong lol and if someone is snotty with me I am generally quite snotty back lol!!

Haha some of the shoppers in Tesco are so stuck up and really wanna have a word with themselves!!

It takes time to gain a professional attitude towards people. I know the customer is always right even when totally wrong. Agree 'it does seem wrong so I will look into that.' (Even if you know they are being poo)
'Yes you are right it is a nuisance.' (push off for gods sake!!)
Pooy people are showing themselves to be what they are. Do not mirror them it is what they seek.
You don't need to think 'oh maybe they are having a bad day' just deal with the product or the situation, not the person.
I think most of them do talk to themsleves.
