Get the name and model, such as Goodyear Eagle F1 off of your tire's sidewall. Google the tire or look for it on Tirerack.com to see what sort of tire it is. If it is a summer/performance tire, then it is designed for dry roads and maximizes handling performance. If you are like 95% of drivers, including myself, you don't do the sort of driving that would necessitate that sort of tire. Invest in all-season, all-weather tires. They are much quieter, much softer running, have a longer tread life, and most of all, are much much safer.
