does anyone else find this weird?

When random people cowboy boots or a cowboy hat who have no idea whatsoever how to ride a horse and aren't going to a rodeo/anywhere where horseback riders would be. Especially in town, or public! I don't know why, but this always ticked me off.......
I mean, I've worn my cowboy hat/boots to town....but really, I've seen so many people wearing boots and hats and jeans and..it just annoys me if they don't know about horses. Especially when people do that and don't care about horses or think they are smelly.
yeah i guess its okay if they like country music.....
 
my grandad always said that workman wear jeans. we wear jeans all the time. what people ware is totally there choice.
 
No, I don't think it is weird.
They could be a country music fan or something.
Or, they can live on a farm without any horses.
 
The hat itself is not just for horse people. Its a way to keep the sun off you. just like a straw hat would. The boots n hat dont always have to go with horses. now if i saw them wearing chaps with them and never been on a horse. that would be weird. but we have lots of men out here that work on a farm but dont ride horses. my bf dad wears his cowboy hat to go out and work in the hay field. it works real well for him when we are mowing, baling or bucking the hay.
 
cowboy boots are awsome and so are the hats, there really stylish and tbh you will be seeing loads of them now its summer xD

It is fashion. The only thing that annoys me about people in cowboy boots and jeans is if they don't wear them properly. The jeans need to be long enough to stack properly over the boots else you look like a wannabe. No self respecting cowboy has his jeans so short that when he is on his horse the bottoms ride half way up his calf which is why they must stack over the boot properly. The other thing that annoys me is if they have brown boots and a black belt or vice versa. The belt must be the same color as the boots people!
