Does anyone else find this man's acquittal to be a travesty of justice?

A man adopted a child from Russia, then left him in his car for 9 hours on a 90 degree day because he was busy with work and forgot to drop him off at day care. The child died, of course; here is a link to the article.

Do you think the verdict would have been different if the child were adopted within the US and not from abroad?
 
At first thoughts I would have given this man a jail sentence but upon reflection I do not think he meant to do this A complete lapse of memory does happen. However I do think he should never be allowed to adopt or even have a child of his own again. Its just too big a risk One can never play with a baby's life to someone prone to this sort of memory
 
I don't care if he meant to do it or not . Evidently they couldn't have a child God knew what he was doing not giving them one . If i did something like that i wouldn't want to live and here they are praising the guy . I only hope people look at the guy like the mindless ass he is . Sorry i feel that way but i hate seeing our innocent children of the world suffer for stupidity . How in the world do you forget you have a baby on board ? Evidently he had money to buy his way out of it just as he had money to travel to Russia.
 
For once the judge was right in his judgement. He must have looked at the case long and hard before coming to this decision and would have been fully aware of the circumstances. I doubt very much that he did this intentionally and so give him the benefit of the doubt.
 
Since he didn't commit a crime, there wasn't any other possible verdict. Millions of people strap kids into their cars every day to drop them off on their way to work, and every year a few people get so focused on their work that they forget the kid was in the car This is a tragic accident, and the father will be punishing himself for the rest of his life.

Day Cares should be required to make a phone call if a kid isn't dropped off without any notice, that's the only way I can think of to prevent at least some of these rare but terribly tragic accidents.

God rest the kid's soul, God grant peace and solace to his family.
 
Sounds horrendous but there are some bad folks around.
