You may be suffering from "adult attention deficit disorder" like my adult daughter is. Our Christian therapist suggested the following books:

"Driven to Distraction" by Edward M. Hallowell, M.D. and John J. Ratey, M.D.

"Boundaries" by Dr. Henry Cloud & Dr. John Townsend

"Healing ADD" by Daniel G. Amen, M.D.

I was able to get these books in paperback from local bookstore and a Christian book store.

You will gain insight to your possible problem in "Boundaries". I urge you to read this book. It is an eye opener.

I did not realize intelligent, smart, professional adults could have ADD. I always thought young children with learning disabilities had the problem.

Our Christian psychologist is having my daughter read "Boundaries" and me read the other two for insight.

I too was cheated out of my teen years, so, I do realize what you are talking about. We cannot go back and relive our lives, we must take hold of our life now and go forward.

Please do not wait to seek help, start work on your problem now and enjoy your life in peace with yourself and others.
