Does anyone else experience the following E50 bug?

I display my inbox on my home screen which usually consists of SMS. Always, after I receive, listen, and delete a voicemail, "1 new message" stays on the homescreen, indicating a new text message. I can fix this by moving a message into another folder or deleting one.

Just wondering if anyone else has this problem?

Does the problem occur with a Cingular sim or a tmob? I've heard of Tmob users having this issue with no other remedy than a hard reset.

I'm experiencing this with my Cing sim, haven't tried my t-mobile sim.

Remedy? My remedy is simply deleting a text message or moving it to another folder. Or do you mean a permanent remedy?

That's odd...i've heard of this issue with tmob but not with cingular. Doknow then?

I just got my first s60 phone, e50, and I'm experiencing the same thing! TTT in hopes that someone has a fix!

Same here. It is the way the cell operator handles voice mail, I would presume. I have to manually delete the SMS indicating voice mail.

its a firmware thing, though. it started happening after the latest update

On all my phones, including 7610, I had to manually delete the VM SMS. Or then maybe I am not getting at the issue

don't have VM so i can't verify.....i like my 50 sec ring.....but it happens to my buddy's Moto all the time.
