Does anyone buy TREE STUMP?Also cost of tidying garden...?

I have a large TREE STUMP in my garden, which im going to cut down, im just wondering if anyone buys these, or do the local tree services collect this for free without paying for them.
Also how much does it cost to cut down the grass in a garden 6m x 4m, and kill off the weed so it doesnt further grow, and place artificial grass instead. i live in the west yorkshire area
 
I know that North Tyneside Council do it for £7.50 (garden tidying) They get the people on community service to do it (My grandad told me!!) They don't have it in Northumberland (where I live) but might have it in you area.

Cut the stump and chop it into firewood then offer it on freecycle!!
 
If you cut it up into logs, and set them at the edge of your property, most likely someone will come and take it for firewood.

Tree services will not cut and take it for free.
 
I don't think you'll find anyone to colect the stump for free. Chop it into logs and you might get a sale.

West Yorkshire is a bit out of my area, but in Coventry, relawning 6x4 with artificial turf would be about £400
