Does anybody know the specs for the 96-97 Suzuki Katana? I can't seem to find any.?

And does anybody know if there was a major power train change between 97 and 98 models? From what I understand, there isn't much difference, they just changed the outside. I'm planning on buying a 97 katana 600 for 1900, and i'm not sure if its really worth it.
