I have a 2.5 year old and a 3 month old. My 3 month old underwent open heart surgery at 7 days old, had a balloon septostomy last week and needs two more open hearts. He'll be fine when all is said and done but all his doctors visits, hospital stays and therapy are taking a toll on me because I also work full time.
My place of employment is understanding but I am wondering if there is any financial help out there so I can stay home with them at least until his last surgery (at 2 years of age). This is running me RAGGED and my 2.5 year old is suffering too...I feel like I am not giving him that much attention. FYI - my mom watches both of them right now and hubby works full time with REALLY long hours...
Bella - I think that was kind of a cruel way to put it. Not looking to get "paid" to stay home with sick kids...just need a little help here for a few months.
