Does any kind of headset work on the ps3?

I want to buy a headset but i want to know does it have to bluetooth or can it be a normal headset

As long as it is bluetooth, it should work on the PS3.

Yes any headset will work on the ps3 weather that be a wired usb head set or a wireless blue tooth head set. Also if you spend a little bit more on a official sony ps3 usb head set you can set your setting to premium communication settings and this will make communication clearer but a cheap blue tooth head set does the job!

Your ps3 will have a couple (four if you're lucky) USB ports, any usb headseat should work, but if in doubt contact Sony's technical support from their website.
