Does any branch of the US military still offer two year active duty contracts?

Not all contracts are for eight years... If you're ROTC, then yes, it is an eight year contract. I've never heard of a two year active duty contract before though, the shortest I've heard of was a three year contract.

You're going to get your best answer, I think, from either military personnel you personally know or recruiters. If you don't know any military, I'd recommend the latter. Or finding a handbook on contracts.
 
And is it possible to negotiate a cut in bonuses and pay in order to get a two year contract?
Yes, I know all contracts are for eight years...
 
It is possible (unlikely, depends on MOS/job) to get a 2 year contract with the Army (not sure about the other branches), but your bonus will be significantly less if you are even authorized a bonus.

I would not recommend a 2 year contract; most of your time will be spent in training, then you will enter the big army as a private, and most likely stay a private until your contract expires.

With a 3 year contract you have the possibility to make sergeant (need minimum 2 years in service), and will more than likely atleast be a specialist when your contract expires. Plus you will get a better signing bonus.

Also, the Post 9/11 GI Bill (which pays for college/schooling when you get out) is only offered in full to servicemembers who have been enlisted for atleast 3 years.
