Yes, focusing on just American programming would help the USAnimation industry, but what I meant to say is that there should be more TV venues in the USA that are willing to air a real variety of youth/family-oriented programming, including both domestic and foreign animation.
I do want USAnimation to get the recognition it deserves, but there should be some good homes for foreign stuff in the USA as well and I have to agree with what HG Revolution said here.
I disagree with you about Disney, because they're focusing more on their own original LA series and third-party properties, including Hannah Montana and Power Rangers, and I don't see Disney crafting anymore original animated works these days, besides Phineas & Ferb and Playhouse Disney originals. IPs like Ratatouille, Yin Yang Yo! and Slacker Cats aren't true Disney originals, because they were all made by three companies Disney has acquired, as oppossed to original business entities that Disney makes purely from scratch.
