I have recently had an abnormal smear test "mild dyskaryosis", but me and my Husband have been trying for a baby. I am not pregnant yet (I don't think, unless just in the last couple of weeks!) and I have read on the leaflet that it says it's important not to become pregnant until the abnormalities are resolved. It also says that you need to have 3 clear smear checks with 6 month gaps until you're regarded as clear. I have to have one in November-so I presume another clear one next May and then again next November, my query is this, We would like to try and become pregnant, so does this mean we can't try for a baby till next November? And of course all this is assuming that November's result is ok it might not be clear even then. I just want to know because I am NO WAY waiting 18 months to try for another baby, Myself and my Husband have fertility issues anyway and I have my age running against me, which it certainly will be at the end of next year. I also don't want a big age gap between children and would eventually like to get back into some work before I retire.
Thanks for the help
P.S. I live in the UK so anyone who lives here and experiences the NHS would probably be able to give the best response.
