Does a Toyota Carina have normal spark plugs?

When looking at the engine,the leads go to the middle of the top of the engine,and not to the side of the engine,plus the engine side of the leads are flat and don't seem to 'pull off ' like ordinary ones do.( i didn't like to pull too hard in case I damaged something).
If not the plugs,what else might cause an occasional 'miss' in the engine?
 
normal plugs but on some they have long nose ,others short nose
miss is probably dirt in the petrol filter try changing it & add some cleaner to Your petrol tank
