I would prefer a professional opinion.
I'm considering taking my tongue bar out, because I'm a singer and that's what I want my life's career to be. If the tongue piercing has any long-term affects on my tongue, that could mean the end of my singing (and chewing, talking, et cetera...)
I love it and I probably wouldn't keep it in for too many years anyway, but should I take it out soon? There have been no signs of infection since I got it in the beginning of December. Swelling went down in a week and it's healed.
