Does a Maltese, Border Collie or Golden Retriever suit my lifestyle best?

I know this is a far bit to read but I really need help and I would really appressiate it (:

I have looked all night for the perfect dog for me and I narrowed it down to 3 dogs. We have a pretty big house and we are willing to let it be indoor. Our backyard is pretty small but not tiny. I go for regular walks (which would make you think the Border Collie or Golden Retriever suits me best) but I also enjoy little dogs company because they are so playful and loving but they do not like going for long huge walks and I want company on my huge walks. I like any sized dogs. I am 13 and we live in a family of 4. I am willing to brush, care, wash and groom the dog whenever needed. Also we don't want a dog type that will destroy our backyard and stuff! I give dogs ALLOT of attention (to much attention, also known as 'babying dogs') but I don't want them to be lost without me. I don't want a dog that will bark all the time but it wouldn't spend much time outside when I am home anyways. We go away every second weekend in the summer but we get it looked after but we need a dog that can handle that! I think that's it...

(My last dog was a maltese/toy poodle and I loved it so much but it couldn't handle my walks and I had to cary it home most the time. Also he barked allot but when inside he was fine)

So what dog do you personally thing? Border Collie, Golden Retriever or Maltese???

P.S don't say this should be up to my parents because they don't want a say in this!
Thanks (:

Border Collie is a TERRIBLE idea. Have you considered a Greyhound? They don't need huge yards so long as they get a good amount of exercise and usually love and are very gentle with children. They aren't very vocal, don't shed too much, and are relatively easy to train. You could even save a life by adopting a fully grown rescue greyhound, or adopting a pregnant rescue greyhound's pup!

It sounds like you want a Maltese. I have a Maltese and she adores going on long walks with me but if she gets to tired she demands to be picked up. Maltese's were once known as a hunting dog for rodents, ready to run for miles. A Maltese is a beautifully nice personality and very cute. A Golden Retriever would be perfect but they would wreck your backyard until they are two years old, which is when they mature. A border collie would fit your lifestyle as well but they would wreck your backyard as well and they need a big yard like a golden retriever would. A Maltese does not need a big yard like the other two dog breeds. The Golden retriever and Border Collie would dirty the house more than a Maltese. You would have to be willing to carry the Maltese after a while but the Maltese would love a long walk as well. A Maltese is more playful then a Golden Retriever and Border collie but the two bigger breeds love to chase a ball. The two bigger breeds would be very loyal and loving but so would a Maltese. If you don't have a big yard then it is best to get a small dog and Border collie's are very highly strung because their instinct is to chase sheep and a Golden retriever is too big a dog to go in a small yard unless you walk them all the time. Maltese dogs love to be babied (trust me). All the breeds of dogs would be lost without their owner. A Maltese dog would not like you to go away. The two larger breeds could handle it more. I think that a Maltese would suit your personality or a Golden Retriever but a Maltese could be very good. I adore all these three breeds. My mummy's favorite breed is a Golden Retriever, my daddy's is a Border Collie's and mine is a Maltese so we love all those breeds and we know a lot about all dogs.
I hope I helped.
Good luck and enjoy your new fury friend. :)
