Does a 2007 Dodge Dakota V8 4.7 Flex Fuel have Shocks or Struts in the front suspension?

41k on the vehicle and the front end is bouncing. Already had the rear shocks replaced at 35k under warranty but Dodge refused to replace the front. Own an extended warranty but they claim they are not struts, they are shocks on the front. Warranty will only cover struts. Please clarify which this truck has.
 
do you not know the difference between them. you could just get relatively close to a front tire and look. it could have anything you put on it.
