98 dodge viper gts. just had head gaskets replaced. Dropped pan, changed oil three times to flush. cut heads .005 to clean up. driven it about 15 miles and it seems to smoke a little under hard acceleration, just at take off. It appears to be oil smoke, any ideas? will this go away. Car runs great, smoke is intolerable.
greg....even though the car has only 10k miles on it?

since you have new head gaskets and the head was cut there is going to be more pressure created and since your rings were not replaced this puts more stress on them causing the oil burn and the smoke.good luck.

Could be burning the oil off of the piston , from when the head job was done , should clear up soon.
