Dodge truck dash all cracked up, what lawyer do I get?

I have a 2000 Dodge truck that has never been in a wreck, yet the dash is cracking all up and now has a big hole. I contacted corporate and they said they would pay half that it is from the heat, but feel this is a factory defect and they should replace it in full at there expense. What kind of attorney do I need? Is there anyone else that is having problems?

You are lucky to get half and the truck is still running. You can look for any "silent recalls" on the dashboard to try to get a free replacement. I wonder where the dashboard component was manufactured as it should not have broken down like that.

I would take the half they are willing to pay, and leave it alone. The truck is 9 years old, and, if lucky, the dash would probably only have a 3 year warranty when the truck was brand new. It's not a very good case, and you would probably lose if you take it to court.

I would take the half and be happy.
A plastic breaking down in 9 years of temperature shift and heat is actually not uncommon and certainly fall well outside of the warranty.

For a 2000 Dodge if you've never Armor oiled the dash regularly used a dash protector or screen visor when parked you should be thankful they offered to pay half . You could go to court but you will likely be the one out of pocket and having to pay there court costs as well . Vinyl and plastic dashes even protected in the sun wont last forever
